My Journey

Hello! My name is Mike Olsen. In 2011, I graduated from the Holland College Golf Management Program, and in 2021, I became a member of the Canadian Golf Teachers Federation. I am now in my 12th year offering my golf lessons at Eagle Crest Golf.

Throughout my teaching career, I've heard many students express frustration after taking the odd golf lesson, feeling discouraged by their progress. There will always be aspects of our game that can improve. My strategy focuses on what IS working, rather than what isn’t. You could spend your whole life searching for that “perfect swing,” but it simply doesn’t exist. My approach is to identify areas for improvement using simple methods, straightforward strategies, and understandable concepts.

TRACKMAN Digital Analysis

This advanced digital swing monitor and radar provide empirical data and instant feedback on various metrics of the golf swing, enhancing the effectiveness of my golf lessons.

Video Analysis

This is one of my most utilized methods. What we think we're doing and what's really happening aren’t always the same. Let me slow it down, and we'll analyze it together.

Visual Analysis

The most common method I employ. Many of us make similar mistakes. Sometimes, the little adjustments can lead to significant improvements. Let me show you the proper grip, stance, and setup.
